Children & Youth

Children, beginning at age 4, and youth, through age 18, receive support as they share with other grieving peers about the death of someone important in their lives.  The sharing can be through verbal expression, a grief activity, painting, drawing or other creative play activities.

While the children’s group is meeting, the surviving parent, parents or caregivers meet in a separate group.  it is an opportunity to share the concerns and fears families and friends are facing and to support one another.

Each group meeting will last one and a half hours. The groups meet for five to six sessions in the spring and fall.
